It taught me be true to myself and my opinions. I never thought about what a women's college meant before I came to Wellesley. What I found, in the absence of men and in the presence of stimulating women, was the world. As I grow older, I feel that even more and I am so grateful that I 'stumbled' onto an environment that has shaped my life for 40 years. Also, as I enter my 60s, I have reconnected with the local Wellesley Club. It has been terrific to encounter the same independence of spirit and devotion to things of the mind in my Wellesley Club colleagues now as I encountered 40 years ago.
Besides getting a superb education at Wellesley, it taught me that I have no limits on what I can do or become.
