Together, we raised more than $91 million, which funded our efforts to refresh vital spaces in which we work and live—the physical embodiment of the Wellesley experience.

A Wellesley student’s residential experience is integral to her health, happiness and success. This guides the Living Room Project’s vision: Shared spaces invite students to seek out new ideas, learn to think beyond themselves, and practice leadership in a community of their
peers. Alumnae remember warmly the bonds that grew in these spaces, and count those experiences among their most treasured memories of Wellesley.
The completed Hale Living Room in Freeman Hall and the McAfee Living Room have shown just how much we can accomplish—and future projects will continue to revitalize, restore, and modernize Wellesley’s living rooms according to each residence hall’s distinctive personality and history.
