In my alumnae admissions work I have met my fair share of prospective Wellesley students. Some are the bold go-getters who have already applied Early Decision in September, but more are timid, under-confident high school seniors who aren't quite sure what they want to major in or what they want in a college experience. In witnessing these students before and after Wellesley, the Wellesley Effect is evident. Almost all of the students who I've re-encountered after four years at Wellesley have become confident, committed women as a result of their college environment and experiences.
