I chose Wellesley after a week of commuting back and forth between it and Smith, because I was so impressed with the poised, polished demeanor of the seniors I met on campus. Wellesley did in fact imbue me with poise and polish of my own, but I gained so much more. I learned to really study, rather than float through exams on my wits alone. I learned to organize my personal and professional life. I developed a profound respect for other women. I gained connections with women in every profession and every location through the impressive alumnae network. I know from talking to the Director of Admission that my Wellesley credentials had plenty to do with my admission to Columbia Law School. There's no school like Wellesley for bright young women who want to make a difference in the world, and I am so glad I chose it.
Wellesley builds poise and confidence in the ability of women to do anything they wish.
