Living away from home for the first time (and so far away), living in a female community, living in close proximity to many others, being an only child, having positive female role models—especially in the sciences, coping with “life” on my own, being in a truly intellectual community with true peers all of whom were there to learn and grow and share. It was a highlight experience of my life.
