The interdisciplinary focus on humanities and social sciences offered by Wellesley combined to its inspirational motto and mission, "Non Ministrari sed Ministrare" have taught and supported me to unravel the world of my homeland with confidence immersing in academic research during academic semesters and traveling abroad on academic summer breaks to volunteer, teach, carry applied anthropology research on fieldwork, collect oral history, and document the state of a world in economic development and the marvelous capacity of its citizens to survive and make a difference.
