My standard advice to potential college and graduate students is "go to the best college or university you can afford." It does make a difference on the resume to see an Ivy League school. It is accepted that the education you receive is first-rate and the friends you make, and the alumnae you have access to throughout your life, are smart, educated, accomplished and terrific people. This has been the Wellesley Effect for me.
Wellesley on my resume didn't get me the job, but it definitely got me the interview.
